About Tricks & Tips
Plain-English help with the tech in your house.
What this site is
We write about the gadgets most homes end up with: smart plugs, Wi-Fi routers, weather stations, 3D printers, and the electricity bill that comes with all of them.
Most pages answer one question. Which printer should I buy? Why is the Wi-Fi slow upstairs? What does it cost to leave this running all day? You get the answer first and the details after, if you want them.
There are five sections: Smart Home, Energy, Weather, Network and 3D Printing. There are also a few free calculators for the math nobody wants to do by hand.
How the site earns money
Some pages link to products. If you buy through one of those links, Tricks & Tips may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are marked, and a note near the top of the page says so. Read the affiliate disclosure for the details.
